victoria beckham aw 13

1Clashing textures, flashes of cobalt blue, knitwear (for the first time) and heritage fabrics were on offer in Victoria Beckham’s Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. Elongated, restrained silhouettes were mashed together (in a good way) with boxy cuts and pleating, in futuristic fabrics to contrast with the herringbone & tweed that also featured. The oversize coat (above) is probably my favourite piece from the collection, and I also really liked the contrast-fabric bomber jacket. Combinations of different textures is shaping up to be a big story in NY, having also been seen at Alexander Wang, Jason Wu & Prabal Gurung so far.
