Before this week, I hadn’t really ever heard of KTZ. They, for some reason, just weren’t on my radar. Their Autumn/Winter 2013 show has been heralded as one of the most bizarre so far, and it’s pretty easy to see why. The collection was inspired by tarot cards and overall had a sort of Salem witch trial kind of vibe to it – most notably in the cap/witch hunter hybrid hat.

Monochrome looks were the central focus of the collection, with injections of bright hues (reds, yellows, oranges), in the form of playful prints, and metallic gold – the oversize gold trench gets a thumbs up from me while the jury is still out on the insane knee-high gold pirate boots. Shearling also made an appearance in the interesting guise of a dress, a pair of leggings/trousers and, more traditionally, a pretty good (if dramatic) coat.
